DescribeElementExample uses Managed DgnPlatformNet API To demonstrate attaching item types to elements. This sample uses AddIn class ElementChangedEvent to capture newly created elements.

This sample should be launched from MicroStationDeveloperShell.bat so that environment variables are initialized properly. This sample can be built directly from Visual Studio or using DescribeElementExample.mke file.

When this sample is loaded in MicroStation and user creates any new element a dialog will appear. This dialog allows the user to select one or more item type(s) that will be attached to the current element. If the user wants an item type that does not exist in the available item types, he/she can create a new item type library, item type and item type property definition.
