ManagedAutoTagElementExample uses Managed DgnPlatformNet API To demonstrate attaching tags to elements. This sample uses AddIn class ElementChangedEvent to capture newly created elements.

This sample should be launched from MicroStationDeveloperShell.bat so that environment variables are initialized properly. This sample can be built directly from Visual Studio or using ManagedAutoTagElementExample.mke file.

When this sample is loaded in MicroStation and user creates any new element a dialog will appear. User can either cancel the dialog or choose between two options to attach a tag to the newly created element.

• Use Existing Tag Definitions: The dialog will load all Tag Sets and Tag Definitions from the current file. The user can select a tag set and tag definition and it will be attached to the element.
• Create New Tag Definition: User can enter information for new tag set and tag definition. The sample will create the tag set and tag definition and and attach it to the element.
