Customise Ribbon

To customize the Quick Access Menu or Ribbon, right click in the Ribbon area and choose Customise the Ribbon

NOTE: After making any changes in the Customisation dialog, right click again in the Ribbon area and choose Save Customisation

The Customization window will appear. Select Customize Ribbon from the left panel:

 

Preset Tabs

·The preset tabs are Plan, Assign Resources, 3D, 4D Review, Project Controls, Reports, Windows, and Navigator.
·There is an "Extra" ribbon which contains rarely used commands and windows. It may be turned on if needed, or commands from this ribbon may be optionally added to another tab if desired
·To hide any of the preset tabs, uncheck the box next to it.
·Click the "+" to view the Groups within each tab. Individual Groups can be removed by selecting the <<Remove button.
·Use the up and down arrow buttons to reorder the Groups or Tabs.
·Click the "+" next to a Group to view the contained commands. Individual commands cannot be removed from or added to a preset Group.

 

Custom Tabs

·Select New Tab to create a custom ribbon tab.
·Select New Group to create a group within a tab. (New Groups can also be added to preset Tabs)
·Highlight a Tab, Group, or Command name and select Rename to edit the text label.
·Use the Choose commands from: drop-down to select from the File or Main Tab commands
·To add commands, select the Group to add it to, select the command from the list on the left and use the Add>> button to add it to the Group.
·Use the up and down arrow buttons to reorder the Groups or Tabs.

 

Use the Reset button to restore the Ribbon to default and remove all customizations

Select Customize button to set keyboard shortcuts for any command:

 

Saving, Exporting, and Importing Customisations

NOTE: After making any changes in the Customisation dialog, right click again in the Ribbon area and choose Save Customisation

To share ribbon customisations with another user or computer, right click in the Ribbon area and choose Export All Customisations. Browse to a file location and choose a file name. The customisation file will be saved as an XML.

To import a saved ribbon customisation, right click in the Ribbon area and choose Import Customisation File.
