Play

The Play options provide the options to play through time at configurable rates for either predefined animations or for the Gantt chart and 3D windows.

·To use Play, select Play and then select a Play option:

Record records live actions in the movement of the camera and the repositioning of the focus time. Recording can be appended to an existing animation, be created as new, or overwrite from a current focus position.

Move to Start moves the Focus Time to project start

Move back one step moves the Focus Time backwards one step

Reverse Play reverses play

Stop stops play

Play automatically steps through the Focus Time based on the play speed

Move forward one step moves the Focus Time forwards one step

Move to Finish moves the Focus Time to project finish

Loop, when selected the Focus Time returns to the start when it reaches the end of the project

Either Play Focus Time specifies that the Gantt chart/3D Windows will be played, or Play Animations specifies that an Animation will be played.

Speed Up - When Play Focus Time is enabled, changes the Focus Time Play Speed to the next faster speed. When Play Animations is enabled, changes the Animation Play Speed to the next faster speed

Slow Down - When Play Focus Time is enabled, changes the Focus Time Play Speed to the next slower speed. When Play Animations is enabled, changes the Animation Play Speed to the next slower speed

Next Animation - Selects the next Animation in the Animations window list panel and changes to Play Animations mode

Next Viewpoint - Selects and applies the next Viewpoint in the Viewpoints window list panel and changes to Play Focus Time mode

Next Layout - Selects and applies the next Viewpoint in the Layouts window list panel

·Focus Time Play Speed configures the speed at which time is played through in both the Gantt Window and 3D Window. The value is selected from  this menu.
TIP:Focus Time Play Speed can also be specified via the Play Toolbar menu icon:

 

·Animation Play Speed configures the speed at which an animation is played, relative to real time (100%), by selecting the value from a menu.   (The Animation Play Speed menu option is disabled if an animation is selected or if at least one animation has not been created).
TIP:Animation Play Speed can also be specified via the Play Toolbar menu icon:

·The Focus Time Play Position controls the position of the red Focus Time marker when Play is pressed.
·Automatic - the Focus Time marker moves left to right. When it reaches the right side, the Timeline scrolls and the Focus Time marker is stationary
·Left - the Focus Time marker is stationary at the left side of the timeline and the Timeline scrolls
·Right - the Focus Time marker is stationary at the right side of the timeline and the Timeline scrolls
·Centre - the Focus Time marker is stationary at the center of the timeline and the Timeline scrolls
·Current - the Focus Time marker is stationary at the current position in the timeline and the Timeline scrolls
