The Resource Usage Graph Window displays the assignment of Resource in a time period.
The Resource Usage Graph window is part of the Gantt Window and shares a horizontal splitter bar with the Gantt chart, This can be repositioned to provide more area for the Usage Graph or the Gantt chart Window by moving the mouse over the splitter (and when an up/down arrow cursor is shown) left-clicking and holding down and moving up or down.
Opening the Resource Usage Graph
To display the Resource Usage Graph Window (in the Gantt Window, below the Gantt chart), select Analyse>Resources>Resource Usage Graph
· | The visible time period can be zoomed in/out by a mouse wheel scroll either in this Window or when zooming the Gantt chart Window. |
· | Use Rate Values (see Navigator->Resource->General) are displayed in utilisation percentage on the Y axis, time is displayed on the X axis. |
· | Utilisation can be displayed for single companies, single/multiple Tasks and/or single/multiple Resources. |
· | Line colour for a resource is set either automatically (by default) or can be selected in Resource Properties -> General tab for each resource individually. |
· | Limit line (black dotted line) for a resource is drawn taking into account Available Quantity parameter for the resource. |
· | If multiple resources are shown utilisation is in % and the limit is normalized to 100% for all the resources. |
Navigating the Resource Usage Graph Window
The following context menu is available with the Resource Usage Graph Window:
Task(s) - Resource Usage can be displayed for All Tasks, Selected Task(s) or Filtered Task(s) as shown in Task table. Resource(s) - Choose which Resources should be displayed in the Graph: All, Selected, Filtered. Only Resources of the selected Type(s) (Human, Equipment, Material, Location) will be included
Show Legend - toggle display of the Legend on or off Options - Opens the following dialog to control display of the graph |

Values - Choose which Resource Usage parameter should be used in the graphs: Planned Utilisation, Actual Utilisation, Remaining Utilisation, or Utilisation at Completion

Timescale - Choose the bin size for the histogram
Hide bars in non-working periods - Do not show bars on non-working periods (nights, weekends) for Units (cumulative) |
